If you have a TpT or Teacher's Notebook - I NEED YOUR OPINION!!

So, I recently added a TpT store for fun. A lot of the stuff I have on there is free, and a few things are at a small cost. I am working on some bigger items to put on the site, but TpT takes a big cut for a basic membership.
What are your thoughts on using TpT vs. Teacher's Notebook. Pros/Cons. I know I can also upgrade in TpT and keep more of my profits, but that also takes a yearly fee.
I'm just curious what you, my fellow bloggers think of both sites.

  1. I have been on TpT since 2008. I didn't really start promoting my store or making my products "cute" until January. My sales are really good on there and Paul does a lot of promoting to get traffic. I pay the yearly fee to earn more of the money and my profits more than pay for it.

I opened a TN store last month. As I was making more money, I was also handing over more money to TpT to keep. It was really adding up. My TN store paid for itself in the first day. However, the site doesn't get as much traffic so I don't sell as much. Products around $2 and less make the same on both sites, so TN makes more money for me on my bigger items. If they get more traffic over there, it might end up being the better option.

Sorry that was so long. I really debated over what to do as well.

  3. I have one of each store also. When you figure out how much you are actually making add in the Pay Pal fees. I have more taken out from Pay Pal for TN than I do when I get my quarterly pay out from TPT. It is just something to consider.
